Sales Territory Manager

Location: Across India, WFH

Job Summary:
The Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all sales activities within their designated territory. This includes coordinating with multiple product heads, managing current customers, acquiring new customers, and maintaining a strong presence in the territory through in-house communication tools and customer visits. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all customers within the designated territory.
  • Coordinate with Accounts, Warehouse and Logistics team to serve customer orders.
New Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
Coordination and Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with product heads to ensure alignment on sales strategies and goals.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and product heads to address specific customer needs and concerns.
Sales Calls and Presentations:
  • Utilize in-house communication tools (e.g., CRM software, video conferencing) to conduct sales calls and presentations to prospective and current customers.
  • Present products and services effectively to influence purchase decisions.
Territory Management:
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct regular visits to customer sites to build relationships and understand customer requirements.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and territory performance.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Customer Visits:
  • Plan and execute regular visits to key customers and prospects within the territory.
  • Address any issues or challenges faced by customers and provide solutions.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Coordinate with Product Heads and develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the territory.
  • Achieve or exceed sales quotas and performance objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably as a Territory Manager or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and customer relationship management.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated territory.
